Aleš Hemský is from Czech Republic. He was born on 13 August 1983 in Pardubice.

His father is a coach extraliga Pardubice and his brother Peter was also playing in Czech top competition. After the 1999-2000 season, he went overseas, where he played junior team competition in Hull Olympiques in the first year won the prize Mike Bossyho for best newcomer.

In 2005 he became the champion league in jersey Pardubice in the same year won the world title at the Vienna championship. Currently playing NHL in jersey Edmonton Oilers.
